Well, where do we begin? Let's start with us meeting up with you on the rainiest day in the history of NYC only to get kicked out of the lobby of what turned out to be a voyeuristic hotel. Thats a great start! It means a lot when it is monsooning in NYC so badly that the subway system is flooding, the wind is blowing umbrella's sideways and you STILL wanted to shoot with us! After spending the day with you during your "Love Story Shoot" (Shown at the wedding reception!!) we knew you were going to be easy as pie on your big day.
Fast forward to another forecast of VERY cold temps and a ton of snow on the ground and we have made it to The Carlysle on the Green! We were happily surprised and dare we say, impressed, at how well you handled the freezing cold temperatures so we could get you some really dreamy photos in the snow. We only had ONE groomsman fall on the ice so I'd say it was a complete success (sorry dude, you good?!) We think it was more than worth the frozen digits for some unforgettable memories.
This is the second wedding we have done with the Cook's and now feel like we are a part of the family. A few months before Ariana + Michael we did Photography and Cinematography for Ariana's cousin Nicole. Check out {( NICOLE + PETE )}'s blog out for more of this amazing family. Not to mention ALMOST EASY played again and it was ROCKING! Check them out. They are the best. You are all so welcoming and make us feel like important pieces to the day and never at all like we are there to just do a job. This environment has our creative hearts all a flutter. When can we hang out soon? Please tell me there are like 100 more cousins getting married next year!?
We couldn't say it any better than Michael when he uttered.. "Your heart is pure and your love is compelling." You guys have a bond that very few get to experience. Your family and friends were so warm and welcoming. Thank you so much for letting us document your day. You put your trust in us and that is EVERYTHING.
