So much leading up to this day ...so much love and emotion, time and pain, love and loyalty all to get to this one day. I would love for you to check out Bitsy + Connor's American Gothic Engagement at my childhood farm. We had such an amazing time getting to know these two. They are really REALLY special people and because of that we offered up a place that is special to us. It was actually my Dad's idea to use the pitch fork!! He can be seen in the background on the tractor in a shot or two.
Anyway, moving forward and knowing how much these two have been through together we wanted nothing but THE best day for them. Unfortunately the skies had different plans. It poured all day on the day of their wedding. And I don't mean like a little drizzle, I mean the cats and dogs kind. Whatever, it didn't matter to these two. They were all smiles and ready to get it done! There was major energy flowing through every room at Bear Brook Valley ...all the friends and family seems so interconnected. We have never seen this many gifts exchanged between so many different people.
We can only imagine this is because our groom, Connor, beat stage four cancer and lived to tell the story, fall in love and get married to someone who was there for it all. We learned all of this while shooting their engagement shoot. This is why we love engagements because we can really get to know a whole other side of your relationship during that one on one time. We connected so well with these two. There have been so many obstacles for them, not the day of their wedding....in their lives, and they got through them together. It made the rain seem utterly unimportant.
