From the very first moment of talking with Briana + Nick we were completely SOLD. They are hysterical, energetic and warm. We asked if we could bring the kiddos along to their engagement shoot on Briana's farm...sure no problem they said...bring the fishin' poles! These two are just really really cool. We hit it off at the engagement shoot over a really awkward conversation about a pet deer that was kind of depressed. I won't get into it, because it's well, weird. SO anyway, circling back to their day. WHAT a perfect day to be shooting outside. The weather was just perfect. We had a nice breeze that made sure to dry out the inevitable adrenaline sweat that ensues when shooting a wedding. I think I speak for our entire crew when I say, days like this our heaven for us. 

When we walked in we saw so many familiar faces. Our favorite vendors all in one place! Taffeta is amazing and always delivers flawless hair and makeup ON TIME. They are so thoughtful of time management and somehow manage to pull of incredible work every, single, time. When noticing the details, I knew....it was A Garden Party...because, well, nobody does it quite like them. Then, my eyes went blurry for a minute as I stared across the room at what I thought could be Briana's dress. No. NO. This could not be it. Coul it? I mean, I've never seen one like this. This is incredible. I regain focus. I calmly ask, "Is this your dress?" ...then like music to my ears a resounding, "Yes!" AMAZING. So usually I photograph the dress, nope, not this time. This needed to be on the body it was made for to show its true beauty. 

Briana is so unique and everything she chose accentuated her far out style in THE best way. If Etsy & Vogue had a baby wedding, THIS would be it. No doubt, in large part due to the incredible Kristin Barse of Belmomento. She crosses every t and dots ALLLLL the I's. Hire her. She's awesome. So, we have everything we need for the perfect wedding. Now, off to the dunes for a first look that may have actually been in Arabian Nights. We still aren't sure. We may have lost our vision for a few moments due to blaring sun but we all pushed through because THIS was epic. 

So maybe my favorite part of this wedding was that Luella, Briana + Nick's gorgeous daughter, was a part of so much of the day. The love that surrounds this baby is something to admire. She has these eyes that see through to your soul and I was told to photograph her more than anyone else, she was the star. I love seeing a family that is so much about enjoying one another.  

Fast forward to the reception....We have never seen a bride get mobbed into a corner of the Atlantic City Country Club, or a foot hemmorrhage due to a dancing accident, or a fireworks display that could put Washington out of business and for THAT, we thank you! We cannot imagine you hiring anyone else. We feel like we just meshed with you and your family. The sarcasm that binds us served us well my young friends.
