It always cracks us up when we go back and forth with a couple on engagement session locations, only to find out that one of them grew up on a farm complete with goats and pond!! CRACKS. US. UP. It was a little trek to this shoot, but driving there we started to get really excited. The weather was PERFECT. A little breeze, 75 degrees and sunshine! We arrived to Claire's parents farm before her and Sam got there. Mom gave us a tour of the entire grounds and we talked about our mutual love for growing our own food all year round. Mom is humble but proud of her beautiful place.
We could NOT believe that this almost didn't happen. Looking around the property we couldn't help being reminded of the movie The Notebook. We even got them out on the water for a row boat sunset cruise. Their love is SO apparent and we barely told them what to do at all. They were so naturally comfortable in one another's arms. This made us immediately pumped for their upcoming winery wedding. Whenever a couple just let's us document their love in a natural, beautiful and creative way, it's HEAVEN.
Claire + Sam showed up looking natural but gorgeous. They nailed the look for this type of location. We were salivating looking around noticing all the pockets of light everywhere. We asked them to trust us so we could breeze through their inevitably awesome shoot. They told us they COMPLETELY trusted us because of how we handled Sam's sister's wedding a few years back. Sam's sister, Lauren, still one of my favorites of all time purely for how she dealt with Hurricane Joaquin on her wedding day. The images turned out amazing despite the fact that every single portion of the day had been rerouted due to the insane weather. Because of this, Claire + Sam felt at ease putting their photographic futures in our hands and it shows. We were BUZZIN' after this shoot! See you two lovers at Valenzano Winery in August!
