From our very first conversation we fell in love with Erin & Andrew. They were pretty transparent about how they found us, didn't look and further and just wanted to talk about how we were going to take photos for them, not about business. Yes, now you are talking my language. Fast forward to their Philly wedding. Colin and I met in Philadelphia, lived there for quite a while and are very comfortable trekking through or old neighborhood. HOWEVER, a city is a city and you just NEVER know.
On this mild day in June, the city of brotherly love had other plans then what we had mapped out. So we hit Old City and get smacked in the face with traffic. No big deal, checked out waze ...an hour to go 10 blocks. WHAT?! Again, no big deal. We train or our marathons. We always leave early...so then the texts begin. My second photographer was stuck in it too and trying to figure out why it looked like it was blocking off the exact start location...WHY?! you ask? Because it WAS. NBD (now I am just saying it to make myself feel better) - then ...a call from Andrew, the groom. "Hey, so apparently there is some parade going on today that is going to block off this part of the city and we won't be able to even really walk anywhere. LOL. OK, I reassure him, we got this and we will have an amazing time. As I am saying this, another call, this time from our second videographer. He is there already and just wants to let us know that the only parking garage available is currently being blocked by a jack-knifed tractor trailer that was planted there by aliens to seal the deal on trying to thwart our destination. WHATEVS. Let me out of this car. Why am I telling you this?
What does this have to do with E + A's wedding? Basically everything. They were cool as cucumbers and we are used to the mayhem. Because of that, everything worked out fine. No one was anxious and we just went with the flow. Great. On our final arrival - I just knew....this is going to be an epic day. The pictures speak for themselves. These two have a very endearing presence and a lot of respect for one another as humans. Andrews two sons were as much a part of the wedding as E+A were which made it uber special. We stayed within two blocks of the Olde Bar and had fun taking photos in small area instead of traveling all over which would have been impossible and time sucker. At the end of the wedding my second photographers asked me, "Have you guys been good friends for a while?" ...I laughed, "No, we just met today." to which he was like HUH?! Yea, I felt it too. We just vibed.
Fast forward again a few days after the wedding.
Love letters (texts) from Mexico :
"You guys. This is Erin. We are drunk in Mexico. However...my favorite part of our wedding was somehow finding you guys. Couldn't have hoped for a better match. You were so much fun to work with all day. Felt comfortable in the least comfortable situations. We are so excited to see them. Thank you so much for being relaxed/awesome.perfect. We appreciate it all :)........"
4 days later from Andrew:
"Hey guys, sorry for Erin's drunken Mexican ramblings. I left her there, she seemed at home. Just wanted to say thanks again."
Here's a little something from the horse's mouths...sadly, not drunk.
"To start off...let me just say how happy I am that we found you guys. While planning everything, we were STRUGGLING to find a photographer. Definitely the hardest part for us. After scouring the internet for weeks (months?) trying to find someone that fit with our style, I happened to stumble across your pictures of the Fearless Photographers website. I remember I got so excited I called Andrew immediately to tell him we had to book you. We both fell in love with the aesthetic of your photographs; from the lighting, to the scenery - they were interesting as well as beautiful to look at. I was PUMPED. As far as the day goes, it really was so much fun to work with you guys. There was so much going on that day and I thought that we would be super stressed, but you made us feel very comfortable and relaxed throughout the whole thing. Even when you showed up at the hotel and said "so..there is a parade running directly around this entire place and we literally can't go to any of the places we talked about and planned", you guys already had backup ideas and we all just laughed about it, drank a little more champagne (I did), and went with the flow. I'm so happy we did, because those are some of my favorite shots of the day. As for our other highlights, I loved how you were able to capture the complete blast that our reception was, getting ready with our friends and family, and of course, your photos or us exchanging our vows. Most of the time we didn't even realize you guys were shooting, but you were able to capture all of the joy and excitement and host of other emotions of the day. We just want to thank you again for everything, it really was a perfect match and we are obsessed with our video and photos. Even more, thanks for making us feel so comfortable. Like...to the point where I apparently felt close enough to drunk text you a week later when we were in Mexico. (Sorry about that haha ;) ). You guys are the best.
Love,
Erin & Andrew"
Love you too. XOXO.
