Some wedding weekends feel like a reunion, a celebration, and a deep breath—all at once. Garrity & Devon’s did exactly that.
Garrity & Devon’s wedding weekend felt like a family block party with a side of golf glory: rehearsal dinner at Garrity’s parents’ house where he grew up (bonus: both brothers live within walking distance, so it was basically a progressive dinner with hugs), and Jenn and I got to soak up time with the whole crew and our friend of 11 years before the main event at Bent Creek Country Club—where, yes, Garrity casually hit a hole-in-one the day before and wore that “I did a thing” glow all weekend.
Wedding day was sunshine, smiles, and a breezy outdoor ceremony on the course with Uncle Wardell officiating like a pro; Events by Kellys Florist dressed the greens with gorgeous blooms; and when golden hour dropped, we hopped into golf carts like kids stealing the keys (we were slightly late to the reception, absolutely worth it for those dreamy, candid portraits—this is why you hire a photo + video team who will chase light for you).
Inside, Samantha Wiley of Just Breathe Events kept everything smooth and joyful, Joey from DJ Mast lit up the dance floor, and giant silver balloons floated around like party clouds catching the uplights; then the after-party rolled to the Elk’s lodge where the tolling of 11 strokes set the mood and the stories started writing themselves. Garrity, who’s filmed weddings with us for years (including wild destination adventures), finally stepped to the business end of the lens to marry Devon—warm, kind, radiant Devon—and watching these two together felt like a full-circle “this is exactly right” moment.
