We met {(NEDDA + JOSH)} and their family for the first time at their
LBI Engagement Shoot. We shot them for a few hours and talked a lot getting to know each other all the whilst I repeatedly called Josh the wrong name. Finally, I think he said, "My name's Josh"....OK, great, so now that we cleared THAT up. LOL! I never fail to put my foot directly into my mouth. So this time, I decided to have the couple write their blog so as to not totally screw everything up! So in the words of Nedda...
"Seven months to plan the wedding of our dreams with 10 bridesmaids, 7 groomsmen, three dads, three moms and a set of grandparents on the beach? Yep, that was us! Against all odds, we pulled it off, but not without a tremendous amount of help. From Windows on the Water to vendors, everyone worked together to make our special day unforgettable. Although plenty of friends and family members were worried that such a small window to plan a wedding may prove in disaster, the day flew by perfectly. Luckily, we didn't have to do it alone; Jenn, Colin and the Karmapants team had our back, and we couldn't be happier with the results.
Jenn perfectly captured in a photo how I felt as I read the letter from Josh and opened his beautiful gift. She also captured how fun it was to have all of my "girls" by my side at the house. Colin perfectly captured how meticulous Josh is with his hair and the relaxed atmosphere that the "guys" had going on at the condo. Once at the venue, Jenn and Colin were able to capture that moment when we first saw each other during our first look and the expression on our faces ("OMG we are actually doing this"), or the moment when we realized no one had our marriage license at the venue and it was safely still at the house 40 minutes away, or exactly how funny my garter looked when Josh threw it up so high that it hung from the ceiling.
Since our wedding was on the beach, we were terrified that it may rain on our wedding day and the whole point of having our wedding at the beach venue would be for naught. Luckily, it did not rain, but, it was super windy. This meant that most of the rose petals that were set up on the aisle way flew away, the aisle runner could not be used because of the wind, the outdoor cocktails tables could not be set out, yarmulkes were beginning to fly off the men's heads, and that Nedda's veil literally had a life of its own and was trying to strangle her throughout the ceremony! Despite those challenges, no one seemed to focus on those hiccups, rather, everyone did notice the laughter and love that permeated from the two of us. We thought it was absolutely hilarious, and still do.
Karmapants captured those candid moments that bring us right back to that day, like, when I put cake on Josh's nose during the cake cutting, or, when Alex and Johnny went out on to the dance floor to show off their skills, and when my sisters decided to get up on the podium and dance temptations-style! Our day really did reflect who we are :we are perfectionists, but, when it comes down to it... love and laughter save the day.
We are so grateful to Jenn, Colin, and their team for working with us and delivering an incredible product."
We could not have said it better ourselves. You guys were a blast. Thanks for having us at your wedding! XOXO : MR. + MRS. PANTS
