It isn’t often that you meet a couple from Staten Island who are planning their wedding 2 hours away in Lancaster, PA. Why? These love birds wanted a rustic setting and they wanted the real deal. So what could be better than the absolutely stunning setting of The Barn at Silverstone. An old farmhouse with acres to graze and equally as beautiful parallel barns that have been converted into a beautiful reception venue while maintaining the 1800’s dairy farm charm. If you are even thinking about doing this…PLEASE check this place out.
When we walked into prep to find 12 girls getting ready in what can only be described as my first apartment in the city, we were a little dizzy. It didn’t take long to get in the groove with all of the smiling faces and daddy tears flying around. Nicole is no doubt a Daddy’s girl and he did not hold back. Nicole’s cousin Ariana was getting married in December of that year and welcomed us on arrival with questions like…can I get you a drink? Can I hold a light? Do you want a sandwich? Can I help you with ANYTHING? Yea, I mean, we love sandwiches! LOL. I was so happy to see her because it would be her big day in just a few short weeks and it is always so great to get to know everyone.
Prep was emotional. I will let the photos do the talking but man, if those walls could speak. There was laughter, crying, smack talking’ and everything else! We had a blast. They made us feel like family and completely comfortable. This is THE best case scenario when making story-telling images and film.
Pete and Nicole hired us and then told all of their friends about us! We booked two other weddings for 2017 because of their recommendation, one of which we shot BEFORE them….see {( PAM + BRIAN)}’s beautiful day! The other is coming soon …{(ARIANA + MICHAEL)}’s snowy dream wedding. This is an amazing feeling to be a part of such a cool group of Staten Island friends, family and musicians! Thank you! Thank you! Thank you! to this wonderful couple for making this happen!
Every single part of this day was insanely beautiful so we can’t take complete credit for the magical photos. The chemistry between these two, the colors of the flowers and dresses combined with the pouring sunshine illuminated every smile and tear drop. I have zero reason to go on and on because well, the pictures and video prove the words that are coming out of my mouth!! Oh, but did you know….Peter sang to his bride on his wedding night in front fo 150 guests? I really was like, wait, that’s a thing…you can marry someone that does that???? He’s truly so very talented and it was this exact gift that drew Nicole to him the night they met at one of his shows! Nicole, you are one lucky girl. Peter, congrats on finding the girl of your dreams.
