Like a lot of our clients, we did not have the pleasure of meeting with Pam and Brian before the day of their wedding. When they contacted us, they knew exactly what they wanted : No first date required. Friends of theirs had already booked us for their September wedding in Lancaster, PA (coming to the blog soon). They were very familiar with what we do and went right for the Photo/VIdeo package. This is always really exciting because it means they like what they see and can't wait for us to do our thing.
Brian is a guitarist in an amazing cover band called Almost Easy (Yes! You should check them out. Yes! They are amazing. Yes, they will play at your wedding!) Pam went to a show where Brian was playing and I can only imagine she looked stunning as usual, rocked out to his guitar skills and stole his heart on the spot. When they mentioned that Almost Easy (including Brian the groom) would be playing at their own wedding reception we got goosebumps from head to pho-toe ...(See what I did there?) It's always an amazing feeling when your clients tell you their story and details about their day that make them so special.
We started in the early AM in Staten Island where Pam, Brian and Fam have lived for a very long time. It was only natural to tell the story at their home and Pam's childhood home. We love the challenge of navigating a space that is ready to tell the entire story of our clients...not just the day of the wedding. So we dove right in, mostly because it was air conditioned, and dang it was a hot one! Speaking of hot, Pam was smokin'...that dress...just refer to pictures below if you want to drool. Stunning is the only word that comes to mind. One more hot joke and then I am done...it was SO hot - the FDNY showed up to put out the fire! Ok, so there was no fire, but they did in fact show up. As if being a musician isn't attractive enough, Brian seals the handsome and dashing deal with a New York City Fire Department uniform. We took some rad photos with the trucking amazing couple and made it to the Ryland Inn sweaty and smiley.
If The Great Gatsby and Gone with the Wind had a baby it would be The Ryland inn. This venue is classic and effortless. "Almost (as) Easy" as Pam + Brian's obvious magnetic attraction. We finished the night up by incorporating some more "fiery hot" images around the fireplace and fire pits at the venue...just in case they ever forget how HOT they are for one another! These two couldn't keep their strumming fingers off one another. As Dad said, "I guess you could say they hold the guitar strings to each other's hearts."
