So usually I take my blog writing and a cup of coffee to bed with me on Saturday mornings to relax and reflect on the last few weddings we have shot. Today, I woke up to a really special email from my girl Priscilla. She had written a few words about her day and since I thought they were so beautiful I figured...why not just include them exactly in the written part of her blog! So ...Out of the mouth of a babe: (seriously....a TOTAL babe...just see for yourself)
"Besides sealing the deal with my favorite human, our wedding was particularly special because of the time we had in the church. It was so intimate, and we had the opportunity to take it all in completely before the after party ensued. The church was very special to me because my grandparents and great grandparents were married there. We even saw a rainbow in the sky after we left Saint Anthony’s! ALL of our vendors were SPECTACULAR. The day ran perfectly smooth (I’m not joking) and we had multiple guests tell us that our wedding was the best one they’d ever been to! Having Karmapants capture our wedding was wonderful. We didn’t even know they were there, but we’re so glad they were!"
Well darling, we felt the same way. Since we had shot one of your bridesmaid's best friends wedding, there was a lot of built in trust there. Your day WAS so smooth. Like butter. Everything just melting into place. The genuine love between you and your family was so beautiful. I felt like a fly on the wall just following you around waiting for moments to unfold. It didn't hurt that Rob doesn't seem to take anything too seriously. With the exception of the way he looks at Priscilla. There is nothing better in the world for us as photo journalists to just let everything roll out before us. I don't think you or your family questioned us once. That is gold to us and allows us to document you in your element, authentically and humbly. We know your family has seen a lot of shocking loss. This is why it was just THAT much more important to us to make sure we captured true moments between you and your loved ones.
We truly felt honored to have been with you on one of the best days of your life to date. Thank you SO much for letting us stare through the window all day.
